Lactose-Free Cheese String Review

Ever since I was a kid, cheese strings have always been a staple snack in my household. They’re the perfect snackable amount of cheese to keep me fulfilled in between meals and the taste has always kept me satisfied. However, lately, my mom has ben purchasing the lactose free kind and I’m not so happy with it.

Compared to the original cheese strings, the lactose free ones have much more of a rubbery taste to them, which is saying a lot since even original cheese strings sort of have a rubbery taste. It truly feels like they replaced the lactose with rubber instead.

Personally, I find texture to be just as important as taste so this really is quite the deal breaker to me. Put it this way; would you pick a chocolate bar that's been sitting in your car all day while it's 30 degrees out or one that was slightly chilled? The answer is obvious. The worst part is, none of us are lactose intolerant, my mom is buying lactose free cheese strings with worst taste for no good reason!

I would never recommend the tasteless pieces of rubber that are lactose free cheese strings to anybody. Even if they were lactose intolerant they should simply put up with it and stick to the classic original cheese string.
